Future Women Leaders in Neurosurgery Scholarship - International
Overall Goal
This scholarship award is to support leadership development of a female neurosurgeon based outside the United States and who is early in their career.
More specifically, the goal of this scholarship program is to catalyze opportunities for female neurosurgeons to pursue educational and enrichment opportunities to expand leadership skills.
Details
The scholarship award for this program is up to $10,000.
Award funding is to be used to cover expenses to attend the leadership course of the awardee's choice and the CNS Annual meeting, as well as support coursework, technical materials and travel for research meetings and conferences.
Requirements for Applying
- Must be a CNS member in good standing (www.cns.org/membership)
- Practicing female neurosurgeon who is based outside of the United States and who is at least 1 year into practice but no more than 10 years in practice
- Be able to provide the following materials during the application process:
- Letter of Recommendation from current Chair of Department
- Current CV
- Details on leadership course that you wish to attend, including start/end date, total cost for course and other pertinent course specifics/information
- If selected, applicant must attend the CNS Annual Meeting of the same year of the award
- If selected, application must provide a brief statement (500-800 words) on how receiving a CNS Foundation award has impacted her career in a positive manner
